Subject: Importance of Literature

Dear Editor,

Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to discuss one of the burning topics of today that has taken a firm root in society. I, Rita, a resident of Gandhinagar would like to talk about the importance of literature and how stem subjects like Maths and Science has taken its due place.

Literature is the mirror of life and society with different prose, poetry and different genres teaching us to be a better person. In order to suceed in life, one must have these socio-cultural values which only Maths and Science cannot instill. The factual subject could only give you a commerical or monetary benefit. However, literature being a multi-faceted and dynamic stream could improve your learning, thinking and assessing abilites.

Since, the olden times, a learned person who masters the study of literature and other humanities is considered to be a better member of society. They shape our world with imagination and vision. And in today's fast forward world we need fresh ideologies more that can only be found in literary works.

Therefore, by concluding this letter with a request, I would like you to give my points a small corner on your editorial page. For this, I shall be highly obliged to you.

With warm regards,

Rita
