Lithium form oxides sodium forms peroxide while potassium and rubidium forms superoxides ?

the atomic size of lithium is very small so it can only form oxide.

as we go down the first group,the atomic size of the atom increases and so the holding capacity also

hence Li forms oxide,sodium forms peroxide ,while potassium forms superoxide.
