litmus, red cabbage and Hydrangea are natural indicator. What happens when they are treated with acids, bases and water.

Litmus paper :

When red litmus paper is treated with a base , it turns blue and with acid it shows no colour change.

When blue Litmus Paper is treated with an acid it turns red and with base it shows no colour change .

Red Cabbage :

When red cabbage is treated with an acid it turns reddish in colour aur shows no colour change where as when it is treated with base or alkaline solution it turns purple or bluish green in colour .

Hydrangea :

When hydrangea is treated with a basic solution it turns red or pink where as when it is treated with an acidic solution it turns blue or purple .
