liverworts are closely related to mosses but why

Other basic plants such as the club mosses gained proper roots, and do have a vascular system, but still have spores and don't have true leaves so are not counted as angiosperms. They are prettyclosely related to the bryophtes, and do look alot likemosses.

And that is why liverworts are related to mosses
