In Non-Living Things, the smallest functional unit is atom or either - molecules. Atoms contain nucleus, and electrons around it. Hence, it is said above, living things are made up of cells while non living things are made up of atoms and molecules.

No the cells by which humans are made are made of biotic and abiotic components like cell organelles and blood and water which are in turn made up of hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, etc compounds which are made up of atoms and molecules. So, I don't agree.
