no

we can't distinguish between living and non-living only on the basis of locomotion

we have to include other parameters also like

metabolism

response

awareness

Answer:

No , It is a wrong statement

Explanation:

Though It is true that most living things can move from place to place we cannot define a thing as living or not living on that basis. The characteristics of living things are response to the environment, growth and development, energy processing etc..And these are also exhibited by trees..

So, trees are living things..

Hope this helps you..
