Liz eats 1/9 of a chocolate bar and her sister 1/3 . How much have they eaten?

Given,

  • Part of chocolate eaten by Liz = 1/9
  • Part of chocolate eaten by Liz's sister = 1/3

Now,

Total Eaten part of chocolate =

 \huge \:  \:  \sf \frac{1}{9}  +  \frac{1}{3}  \\  \\  =  >  \frac{1 + 1(3)}{9} \:  \:   =  \frac{1 + 3}{9}  \\  \\   \frak{=  > \red{  \frac{4}{9} }}

Hence,

  • The part of chocolate eaten by them is 4/9
