Good morning Respected teachers, principal (If their is any chief guest then greet hem too) and my dear friends. This is ______ From class ______ and I am going to deliver a speech today on the topic " Importance of Moral Values for students"
As I said my topic is importance of moral values in life, I would like to start with an instance.
Once there was a young boy. Was good at studies and sports. Parents thought he would glorify their name. He grew up and became a doctor. He led a peaceful life with his parents. one day, the mother got ill. Her problem was increasing day by day. One day, the child hold the hand of his mother. Said "Ma, Let us go to the roof. You will feel good in the sunlight".
Mother thought how lucky she was to have such a great child! Soon they reached the top. The man took his mother and reached the corner of the roof. Said, "Ma see the beautiful trees there" Mother was so happy that how lovely son I have got. But (take a little pause here) The man pushed the poor old mother. Why? The man thought that this old woman has lived how she should have. She doesn't deserve to live. Just wasting our money in medication.
This is a true incident which happened earlier in Gujarat. What was the reason? Lack of morality in the son.
In the today era, Not only Roti kapda Makaan Khana Peena Dukan are necessary but also moral values are. What is the need? The need is to create a society where people can trust each other, help each other, care each other. If there is no one whom we can trust, then the society will perish, (very little pause here) which is actually happening slowly slowly.
Moral Values are taught to us from the beginning. So our parents are not wrong! Neither our teachers. They are giving us education and also giving the real values. So what is the problem? The problem is in us. We hear their values and the. think that "Com'on these are just foolish bookish values. These doesn't exist in real life" They are true! These doesn't exist right? Dinosaurs also doesn't exist but they used to. We can't say dinosaurs are bookish. They exist millions of years ago. Similarly, moral values also existed but we removed them from life.
How can we implement them?
In teenage, generally we have seen that the "little birds" (little pause here) are set free. But this should not happen. Yeah they need freedom but not too much. Parents should hold them tight so they are taught right. I can remember an incident from the great movie "Taare Zameen Par".
Ishaan. The young and "uncommon" boy. Parents treated them with anger. Was it really his fault? Nope. He could have been treated with love, like what his teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh (Aamir Khan) did. There is a song in which the words came "Bhej Na itna door mujhko tu Yaad bhi tujhko aa na pau ma. Kya itna Bura hoo Mai ma?" Now here, what if when Ishan grows and had a revenge like feeling towards his parents? This is how the love for parents dies. Parents are the most important persons to give moral values to us. If they will not care for us then we can't get enough moral values.
We all need a person like "Nikumbh" in life. Which we actually get as our parents. But the problem occurs when we don't follow them. Gandhi gave freedom to India by following moral values. Nelson Mandela secured Democracy in South Africa by moral values.
How can we say that moral values doesn't exist? They do and they really do (Voice should be raised here). So at last, I just want to say that bad habits are easy to implement in life but good values are hard. Teenagers love to do hard and "impossible" work. So why not using Moral Values?
I can see the future when all the Indians, infact whole of the world will be united but only by, Moral Values.
Jai Hind
Thank you.
