hey mate!

given LM=LN

let angle LMN=angle LNM=a

80+a+a=180

2a=100

a=50°

x=y=180-50°=130°

hope the answer helps u

Answer:

x=y=130

Step-by-step explanation:

angle L=80

We need to find angle x angle y

Look at the above image

It is an Isosceles triangle

LM=LN

So base angles are equal..

a=b

Angle sum of triangle is 180

80+a+b=180

80+a+a=180

Solve the equation....

80+2a=180

2a=100

a=100/2

a=50

angle a is 50

so angle b also 50

x and b together forms a straight line that is they are linear pair

x+b=180

x+50=180

x=180-50

x=130

y and a together forms a straight line that is they are linear pair

y+a=180

y+50=180

y=130

Or

Look at the above image

angle c is an exterior angle

angle c and angle L form 180

c+80=180

c=180-80

c=100

Sum of exterior angle of any polygon is 360

c+x+y=360

Base angle are equal

a=b

180-a=y

180-b=x

Both are same

so we can say that

x=y

c+x+y=360

100+x+x=360

100+2x=360

2x=360-100

x=260/2

x=130

x=y =130

Hope it helps......
