it is given that ,

∆LMN ~ ∆XYZ ,

And

m<Z = 50° , m<X = 40°

m<L + m<N = ?

∆LMN ~ ∆XYZ

<L = <X = 40° ,

<N = <Z = 50°
[ Corresponding angles of similar

Triangles are equal ]

Therefore ,

< L + <N = 40° + 50°

= 90°

Option ( b ) is correct.

Solution:As per question

ΔLMN - ΔXYZ for the correspondence LMN ⇔ ZYX.
If m∠Z = 50, m∠X = 40,

according to correspondence

side LM = side ZY

side MN = side YX

side NL = side ZX

and so as angles


m∠Z = M∠L = 50°


m∠X = M∠N = 40°


then M∠L + m∠N = 50° +40° = 90°

option b is correct
