Given,

The total number of students = 500

Total number of students who take milk = 300

Total number of students who take tea = 250

To find,

The number of students who take milk only the number of students who take tea only and the number of students to take both tea and milk.

Solution,

Total students = Total number of students who take only milk + Total number of students who take only tea + Total number of students who take both tea and milk ....(1)

Total number milk taker = Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take only milk ....(2)

Total number tea taker = Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take only tea .... (3)

Now, by adding (2) and (3), we get that

Total milk taker + Total tea taker = Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take only milk + Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take only tea

Total milk taker + Total tea taker = Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take both tea and milk + Total number of students who take only milk total number of students to take only tea

Total milk taker + Total tea taker = Total students who take both tea and milk + Total students

300+250 = Total students who take both tea and milk + 500

Total students who take both tea and milk = 550-500

Total students who take both tea and milk = 50

Now,

Total students who only take milk = 300-50 = 250

Total students who only take tea = 250 -50 = 200

Hence, 250 students take only milk, 200 students take only tea and 50 students take both milk and tea.
