DCE=60

ACD=40

XYZ=z

DCE+ACD+XYZ=180 Because that is a linear pair

=60 +40 +z =180

= 100 +z =180

= z =180-100

=z =80

to find x and y

A and B are remote interior angles of ACE

Means if we wil add the remote interior angle

we get the measure of the exterior angle .

therefore there is

ACD 40° and

DCE 60°

x will be 40°

and y will be 60° respectively
