suhaniprabhu: fourth step is to draw dotted lines from the point A to the line to represent root 2 then the fifth step is to place your compass on the point A and cut a arc and measurement can be of your choice. After you do that make sure to name it as B.

suhaniprabhu: Seventh step is to drawn dotted lines from B to the line that you have drawn. This is to represent root 3. similarly do until root 5 or 6 or 7.

You have to use the spiral method to represent any root number on the number line.
