1.draw a line
2.mark a point 'o'on it
3.measure 2 cm on the line and mark it as 'p', measure 90degree
4.measure 2 cm on your compass and cut an arc on the line at 90degree and name it as 'n'
5.now join the point 'o' and 'p'
and the line will be ^8
here we follow the Pythagoras theorem
a^2+b^2=c^2
so base^2+height^2=c^2
=2^2+2^2=^8
