Locate cube root 3 on number line
Answers
I can't send you the picture but I can explain you.
Step-by-step explanation:
- Draw a number line.
- draw root 2
- from root 2 take a line of 1 unit.
- joint the new line withe 0.
- from 0 to the new line draw an arc to the number line.
- the arc on the number line is root 3.
Hope it helps and sorry I use computer so, i can't take photo and please make it the brainliest answer.
By using Pythagoras theorem, in right angled triangle,
take OA= 1 unit and draw AB is perpendicular to OA such that AB = 1 unit.
Join OB. then
OB = √OA^2+AB^2
OB = √1+1
OB = 2 UNITS
with O as a centre and OB as a radius , draw an arc which meets OX at point (let the point be P)
then , OP=OB= √2 units.
now, again by using Pythagoras theorem,
draw BC is perpendicular to OB such that BC= 1 unit.
join OC. then
OC = √OB^2 + BC^2
OC = √(√2)^2+1^2
OC = √3 units
with O as a centre and OC as a radius , draw an arc which meets OX at point (let the point be Q)
then , OQ=OC= √3 units.
