Heya , here .
Solution is here
_____________________________
We write 10 as the sum of the square of two natural numbers.
10 = 9 + 1 = 3^2 + 1^2
Take OB = 3 units , perpendicular to OA . Join OB
Now , by Pythagoras theorem ,
OB^2 = OA^2 + AB^2
OB^2 = 1^2 + 3^2 =10
=> OB = √10
Taking O as a centre and OB as a radius , draw an arc which intersects the number line
at point C.
clearly C corresponds to √10 on the number line .
