Sorry cant give steps just can explain how to do. You may form steps from it. First of all draw one line and mark 1,2,3,4.. Till around 6 at 1 vm gap extended both side then mark point A at 0 and other point at 1 then draw 1 cm perpendicular at point at 1 cm and join the point O and point b and then mark one more perpendicular line of 1cm at point B and join it with point O and measure that line and take that measurement as radius at point O and cut an arc and that is root 3

⦁First construct the BD of unit length perpendicular to OB.

⦁Then apply the Pythagoras theorem \rm{OD = \sqrt{(\sqrt{2})^{2} + 1^{2} = \sqrt{3}}}

⦁We can locate \rm{\sqrt{3}} on number line by using a compass.

⦁We know that, O is the center and radius OD. Now let's draw an arc which intersects the number line at the point Q.

⦁Therefore, now the point Q = \rm{\sqrt{3}}
