Dandi and Sabarmati are two important places to remember because during India’s struggle for independence, Gandhi in this place called Dandi itself broke his salt law.

It was marked as a historical event because the entire nation under one single man plunged into the battle and cherished doctrines of non-violence and passive resistance.

Again, Sabarmati is also important because from Sabarmati Ashram, Gandhi started his campaign with 79 members on 12th March 1930 to Dandi where he broke British salt laws in 6th April, 1930.
