log 100 is rational . the reason is
log 100 = log 10 ^2
= 2 log 10
=2 ( since log 10=1)
therefore log 100 = 2 ,which is a rational number

Answer:

2 is a rational number.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Number \log 100

To find : Is the number is rational or irrational ?

Solution :

Rational number is defined as the number written in p/q form where p and q are integers and q is non-zero.

Irrational number is not rational.

Number \log 100 can be written as

\log 100=\log 10^2

Applying logarithmic property,

\log a^x=x\log a

\log 100=2\log 10

We know, \log 10=1

\log 100=2(1)

\log 100=2

2 is a rational number.
