We know that , log 4 = 2 log 2

log (1/2)= log 2^-1

=-log 2

log(a-b)= (2log2/-log2). log 5

log ( a-b) = - 2 log 5

= log (1/25)

a -b = 1/25..........(1)

Similarly,

log4/log (1/2)= log (a+b)/log2

-2log2 = log(a+b)

log(1/4)=log(a+b)

a+b = 1/4.......(2)

from 1 and 2,

a + b = 1/4

a - b. = 1/25

2a = 29/100

=> a= 29/200

Similarly,

b = 1/4 - a

b = 1/4 - 29/200

=> b = 21/200
