logₐM + logₐN = logₐMN

Given :  logₐM + logₐN

To Find : Simplify

Solution:

Using property :  logₐb +   logₐc  = logₐ(b × c)

logₐM + logₐN

=   logₐ(M×N)

= logₐMN

logₐM + logₐN = logₐMN

Here is proof of property  logₐb +   logₐc  = logₐ(b × c)

=> p + q =  logₐ(b × c)

logₐb = p   => b =  a^p

logₐc = q  =>  c=   a^q

b x c  = a^p x a^q

Using law of exponent  xᵃ * xᵇ = xᵃ⁺ᵇ

b x c  = a^{p+q}

=> log ₐ (b x c) = p + q

=>  log ₐ (b x c) =   logₐb  +  logₐc
