x^2-2x=5x-12
x^2-2x-5x+12=0
x^2-7x+12=0
by quadratic equation we can equate to
(x-3) (x-4) = 0
so x=3 or x=4

by substituting 3 and 4 in equation 1 they satisfy the conditions
