Answer:

 log(x - 9)  +  log(x)  = 1

 log( {x}^{2}  - 9x)  =  log(10)

 {x}^{2}  - 9x = 10

 {x}^{2}  - 9x - 10 = 0

 {x}^{2}  - 10x + x - 10 = 0

x(x - 10) + 1(x - 10) = 0

(x - 10)(x + 1) = 0

so X = 10 , -1 but -1 cannot satisfy equation hence

X = 10 only answer.

Answer:

log(x - 9) + log(x) = 1log(x−9)+log(x)=1

log( {x}^{2} - 9x) = log(10)log(x

2

−9x)=log(10)

{x}^{2} - 9x = 10x

2

−9x=10

{x}^{2} - 9x - 10 = 0x

2

−9x−10=0

{x}^{2} - 10x + x - 10 = 0x

2

−10x+x−10=0

x(x - 10) + 1(x - 10) = 0x(x−10)+1(x−10)=0

(x - 10)(x + 1) = 0(x−10)(x+1)=0

so X = 10 , -1 but -1 cannot satisfy equation hence

X = 10 only answer.
