Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Log10 (x squared - 4x + 7) = 2

To find:-

The value of x?

Solution:-

Log 10(x²-4x+7)=2

On writting it as power notation

=>x²-4x+7=10²

=>x²-4x+7=100

=>x²-4x=100-7

=>x²-4x=93

=>x²-2(x)(2)=93

On adding 2² both sides

=>x²-2(x)(2)+2²=93+2²

=>(x-2)²=93+4

=>(x-2)²=97

=>(x-2)=±√97

=>x=2±√97

X=2+√97 and 2-√97

Solution:-

The value of x=2+√97 and 2-√97

Used formulae:-

  • Log x (N)=a=>x^a=N
  • (a-b)²=a²-2ab+b²
  • Completing the square method
