i ) log a ( base a ) = 1

ii ) log mⁿ ( base a ) = n log m ( base a )

Now ,

log (1/216 ) ( base 36 )

= log ( 1/6³ )( base 6² )

= log ( 6^-3 )( base 6² )

= ( -3 )/2 [ log 6 ( base 6 ) ]

= -3/2
