The Number Of Days Spent At Uncle's Place Is 6.

GIVEN

The total number of days of vacation = 10 days.

Fraction of days Spent at grandmother's house = 2/5th

TO FIND

The number of days spent at uncle's place.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows -

The total number of days of vacation = 10 days.

Fraction of days spent at grandmother's place = 2/5 of the total vacation.

Number of days at grandmother's place =

 \frac{2}{5}  \times 10

= 4 days.

Let the number of days spent at uncles place be, x days

So,

Days spent at grandmother's place + Days spent at uncle's place = Total number of vacation days.

Putting the values in the equation we get,

4 + x = 10

x = 10-4

x = 6 days.

Hence, the number of days spent at the uncle's place is 6.
