So there are 545 lok sabha seats and in 545 , 543 are directy elected by the people and rest 2 are anglo indians who are nominated by president.

And there are representatives from different parties.

Exit poll is nothing but asking people to whom they have voted while they exit after voting from the voting booth.And guessing the score.

Later the votes are counted after the election by counters and the EVM (electronic voting machine) machines are carried by counters and finally the result will be announced.

This is the lok sabha election process.
