राज्य सभा भारतीय लोकतंत्र की ऊपरी प्रतिनिधि सभा है। लोकसभा निचली प्रतिनिधि सभा है। राज्यसभा में २४५ सदस्य होते हैं। जिनमे १२ सदस्य भारत के राष्ट्रपति के द्वारा नामांकित होते हैं।
