Ashoka took many steps for propogation of buddhism . He wrote inscription and his Rock edict xi explains best of his dhamma . Ashokas dhamma is a edict by which he governed his people . He was the first king who talked with his people directly . But his policy of dhamma was adversely affected by brahmanas.
