1.All maps have distortions because it is impossible to represent a three-dimensional objects like the earth accurately on flat maps. Maps with no scale give a poor idea of distances and maps with no legend are frequently confusing to the user.

2.A globe is a three-dimensional sphere while a map is two-dimensional. The globe represents the whole earth, whereas a map may represent the whole earth or just a part of it. A globe can be used to get a broad-level picture of the world while maps provide more specific information about different places.A globe can be useful when- we want to study the earth as a whole. ... Map is the representation or a drawing of the earth's surface or a part of it drawn on a flat surface. It gives more information than a globe.

3.The scale of a map is the ratio of a distance on the map to the corresponding distance on the ground. This simple concept is complicated by the curvature of the Earth's surface, which forces scale to vary across a map. Because of this variation, the concept of scale becomes meaningful in two distinct ways. There are three main ways that scale is indicated on a map: graphic (or bar), verbal, and representative fraction (RF).
