Explanation:

1.some of the characteristic feature of meristematic tissue are

They are composed of immature cells, Absence of intercellular spaces, Cells are oval, rounded or polygonal in shape, Cells are always living and thin walled, Cells are rich in cytoplasm with minute vacuoles, Cell is diploid and shows mitotic cell division.

2.simple permanent tissues are the those completely grown and lost the ability of division and these made up of a single cell type, usually with the same origin, structure, and function.

Simple permanent tissue is further classified into three types

  • Parenchyma -It mainly acts as a packing tissue, providing mechanical support. It also helps in the storage of food.
  • Collenchyma -Its main function is to provide flexibility to the plants as well as mechanical support.
  • Sclerenchyma-The main function of the sclerenchymatic tissue is to provide rigidity and mechanical support to the plant body. They also make the plant stiff and hard.

3.The tissues that are completely grown and have lost the ability of division are known as permanent tissues. The meristematic tissues divide and differentiate to form the permanent tissues.
