1).The following things led to intense conflicts of the companies with local rulers; (i) Involvement of the traders in the politics of the country. (ii) The effort to protect the settlements and carry profitable trade. The purpose of The Company was to have a stronghold over the country of trade to gain more profit

3).Setting Up a New Administration

British territories were broadly divided into administrative units called Presidencies. A new system of justice was established in 1772; each district was to have two courts - a criminal court - faujdari adalat, and a civil court - diwani adalat.
