Green plant synthesize their food by the process of photosynthesis. Photo mean light while synthesis mean combine. It is the unique process on the earth. During this process solar energy is converted into chemical energy of food. Photosynthesis is the synthesis of complex organic substances from simple inorganic raw materials with the help of chlorophyll in the presence of sunlight energy.
