Yes i agree but it is not clearly about the conflict it summarizes that through kindness we can change the world.
This story is about a man who is a pessimistic who believes that this world is a rattrap, the world give us the lure to the luxurious like a cheese offered to the mice. But if the cheese is taken by the rat then it may be trapped in the same way if we also want to be in a luxurious life then we may also get trapped
But later he will meet a lady who wants to be with him. She changes his mindset by showing love and kindness on him
Thus this story teaches us about the essential human goodness we all must process
