Long answer type question. Why do we continue to associate history with dates ? Give reason for it.

This is because without dates we cannot compare the events according to their occurance and moreover it gives knowledge about when a particular event happened.We continue to associate history with a string of dates because the events occur in a chronological order and that helps to study the cause and effect relationship.
