1)Organelles (literally "little organs"), are usually membrane-bound structures inside the cell that have specific functions. Some major organelles that are suspended in the cytosol are the mitochondria, the endoplasmic reticulum, the Golgi apparatus, vacuoles, lysosomes, and in plant cells, chloroplasts.

ribosomes function as factories to produce proteins and maybe attaced to the endoplasmic reticulum or they may float on the cytoplasm . Golgi bodies recieve materials from endoplasmic reticulum and send them to other parts of the cell. They also release materials outside the cell.
