Particles in a:

gas are well separated with no regular arrangement.

liquid are close together with no regular arrangement.

solid are tightly packed, usually in a regular pattern.

Particles in a:

gas vibrate and move freely at high speeds.

liquid vibrate, move about, and slide past each other.

solid vibrate (jiggle) but generally do not move from place to place.

Explanation:

solid :

  • It is a form of matter having a rigid structure and firm shape
  • It has the lowest energy
  • These are hard to compress
  • It has a fixed shape plus volume
  • Molecules are regular and arranged closely

Liquid :

  • They are substances flowing freely with no permanent shape but a definite volume
  • It has medium energy
  • You can compress them a little difficulty
  • No fixed shape but they do have volume
  • Randomly molecules arranged sparsely

gas :

  • Gas is a state of matter which does not have a shape but takes the shape of the container you put in it
  • They have the highest energyThese are easily compressible
  • They have neither definite shape nor volume
  • These are easily compressible
  • Their molecules are random and arranged more sparsely

hope it is helpful..
