Answer:

Hey mate here is your answer....

One of a pair of organs located in the right and left side of the abdomen. The kidneys remove waste products from the blood and produce urine. As blood flows through the kidneys, the kidneys filter waste products, chemicals, and unneeded water from the blood. Urine collects in the middle of each kidney, in an area called the renal pelvis. It then drains from the kidney through a long tube, the ureter, to the bladder, where it is stored until elimination. The kidneys also make substances that help control blood pressure and regulate the formation of red blood cells.

Hope it helps you....

Kidney is the major organ of human excretory system. A normal kidney weights about 120-170g, its 10-12 cm long 5-7 cm wide and 2.5 cm thick. it is situated on the dorsal side between T12 and L3 vertebra( that is your 19th to 23rd vertebra). In humans the right kidney is placed slightly below the left kidney due to the presence of liver on the right side. 180L of blood is filtered out everyday but 99% is reabsorbed. Kidney also regulates blood osmolarity( maintains conc. of salt and other materials of the body). considering that this question is asked at secondary school level it is more than enough so i should rather not go in anatomy of kidney.
