Micro-organisms such as bacteria cause diseases like typhoid, tuberculosis, cholera, etc.
fungi cause the rusting of wheat and it also spoils food
algae produces toxins which are harmful to aquatic life
protozoa causes diseases like dysentery and malaria
viruses cause cold and influenza(flu).

Micro organisms cause many diseases in animals and humans.
for example in humans it cause tuberculous, cholera, typhoid etc.  in cattle the food and mouth diseas are caused by a virus. also, many microbs cause deases in plants.  certain microbs on entering in our body produces toxic substances.  this may lead to food poisoning.  some microbs such as fungal spoils our food.
Although microorganisms are useful but there are some microorganisms which are harmful for us. Microorganisms cause diseases in human beings, plants and animals. Some microorganisms spoil food, clothing and leather. Some of the diseases caused by microorganisms are cholera, common cold, chicken pox and tuberculosis etc. There are some insects and animals which act as carriers of disease causing microbes. Some microorganisms cause diseases in plants like wheat, rice, potato, sugarcane, orange etc. Microorganisms that grow on our food sometimes produce toxic substances which are poisonous and cause illness and even death.
