Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar is an Indian mathematician, born in 1887 at Erode, which is in the southern part of India. His father was a poor clerk. Due to his intelligence and a distinction in primary class examinations, he was placed in a city high school. He is considered a prodigy as he took interest in mathematics and could create his own path in it when he was just 13 years old.

By 1902, he created new methods to solve quartic equations and could explore more in Euler's constant. But he failed in every subject except maths in his college, which led him to depression as his parents couldn't afford for his studies.
