Look at the attached figure and answer the following questions:

a) Will current flow in the circuit, if not, what change must be made?

b) What will be the direction of flow of current, will it be in the direction of the blue (outer) arrow, or the green (inner) arrow?

Answer:

(a) current will not flow because the switch is open.

(b) The current flow will be in the direction of the blue arrow because current flows from the positive terminal to the negative terminal.

Answer :-

a) No, the current won't flow because it is a open circuit and due to which current cannot flow from end to end power source. Hence, here we need closed circuit.

b) Direction will flow in blue(outer) arrow because current always flows from postive terminal to negative terminal.
