The given line graph shows the number of whales caught between 1985 to 2010. The graph shows

the comparison between the sei whales and minke whales caught. In 1985 almost 15000 sei whales

were caught as compared to minke whales which was only 1000. By 1995, catches of both the species

were virtually the same i.e. 9000. The situation reversed in 2000, when the number of minke whales

doubled to 12000 in comparison with sei whales which was only 6000. The graph shows that the sei

catch was reduced by 95% between 1985 and 2010 where the catch of the minke whale was eight

times greater. The given trend shows a bad picture for the minke whales as the number of catches is

increasing with the passage of time.
