Look at the grid given below and answer the questions that follow:

• A, B, C and D distinct consecutive multiples of 2

• A is represented by 2n where n is a natural number

• E, F, G and H are distinct consecutive multiples of 3

• E is represented by 3n where n is a natural number.

• I is the sum of A and E

• J is obtained by subtracting B from F

• K is the remainder obtained by dividing H by D

• L is twice of two times sum of A and E

A B C D

E F G H

I J K L

Answer:

6000    6002   6004      6006

9000    9003   9006      9009

15000    3001    3003    60000

Step-by-step explanation:

A = 6 (K) = 6000 = 2n

∴  n=\frac{6000}{2} = 3000

A, B, C and D are distinct consecutive multiples of 2

∴ B = A + 2 = 6002

C = B + 2 = 6004

D = C + 2 = 6006

E = 3n = 3 x 3000 = 9000

E, F, G and H are distinct consecutive multiples of 3

∴ F = E + 3 = 9003

G = F + 3 = 9006

H = G + 3 = 9009

I = A + E = 6000 + 9000 = 15000

J = F - B = 9003 - 6002 = 3001

K = Remainder of (\frac{H}{D} = \frac{9009}{6006} =1\frac{3003}{9009}) = 3003

L = 2 x 2(A + E) = 4 x 15000 = 60000

6000    6002   6004      6006

9000    9003   9006      9009

15000    3001    3003    60000
