Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was one of the greatest leaders of India. He was born on 23rd January, 1847 in Cuttack, Orissa. Since childhood, he was a brilliant in studies. He successfully passed Indian Civil Services. But instead of working under the British, he dedicated himself for the motherland. The mission of his life was "Free India". His only motto was to make India free from the British rule. Many important public posts were held by him. He became the President of All India Trade Union in 1929, the Mayor of Calcutta in 1930. He was the President of Indian National Congress from 1938 to 1939. He formed Azad hind Fauj and made several contributions to India's freedom struggle. However on 18th August, 1945, he disappeared mysteriously. Till then nobody found any news about him. But he always remains in our heart.
