Look at the system of linear equations.What is
the x-coordinate of the solution to the
system
of equations?
(2x – 4y=-8
- 3x + 5y =9​

Answer:

(2x-4y=8)×5

(-3x+5y=9)×4, gives

10x-20y=-40

-12x+20y=36

Now if cancel the y coordinate

We get,

-2x=-4

hence, x=2

X coordinate is 2
