\textbf{Look before you leap}

The central Idea behind this idiom is that before doing anything one must consider the possible consequences or dangers.

Sometimes, our actions can be counter productive as well can be too harmful.

The decision we make in our life make all the differences. They only can decide which path we are going to travel . In the poem "The Road Not Taken" by "Robert Frost ", the idiom is best explained.

The poet asks the reader to consider beforehand about their actions as they have a tremendous impact on our life. The poet makes a decision that makes him regret for whole of his life.

Similarly, not only actions, we should always mind our words. Time and Tide wait for none. But one more thing should be included i.e., your words.

Always make a good choice of your words that touch the heart of people. Always look what impact your actions can have on others as well on you. A little action can be like a storm in your life that can either throw you to the bank or can drown you.

"Look Before You Leap"

The meaning of this phrase is that you must know what could be the results of your activity, which you are going to accomplish.

You should not do anything without knowing the consequences of your act.
Use your foresight and common sense before jumping into any task.

For example,
You haven't learnt your lessons for the test and you thought that you can cheat, but have you ever thought what could be the consequences ? No.You may get caught and this will surely affect your image in front of your teacher and other students.
So, it is better to prepare and not to do anything which may not result good for you.

"Always try to know the results of your action or your decision on which you cannot step back."
