suppose you took a single flower with a long stalk dipping in water, instead of a leafy twig. will it serve the purpose? yes or no , give reason

No because leaf only make food in plants

No , a flower with a long stalk could not serve the purpose because stomata are mostly present on the leaves and not on the flowers. As a result , proper transpiration could not be observed
