tap water contains various minerals dissolved in it and they are also mandatory for our body in other words they are important for the body and coming to your question distilled water doesn't contain any type of mineral dissolved in it and hence you may have heard that distilled water is not drinkable.
the main point is that tap water contain minerals which are responsible for conduction of electricity in the water where as distilled water don't contain any type of minerals dissolved in it and hence they are not capable of conducting electricity in water.
