Lord UUllins daughter fell in love with a Scottish chieftain. His father didn't approve so they eloped. When he found that his daughter had ran away he ordered his troop to catch them and bring them to him, he would then slay the chieftain himself.
The daughter and the chieftain soon reached a sea caught in a mighty storm. The weather grew worse as if already mourning their loss. The humble boatman their told them they can't cross the sea this time but the chieftain said they have otherwise troops will catch them. He decided along with the daughter to cross the sea. The storm turned turbulent and violent. Their boat swayed violently, the daughter was calling for help, Lord Ullin who had already reached the shore was wailing, grieving helplessly for his blood and flesh, he regretted his attitude, if he did just consented none of this would have happened.....his tears mixed with seawater carried by wind. A mermaid who was watching this felt heartbroken on watching this tragedy so she requested her father Posiedon , then suddenly a golden light shone and slowly the storm lost its energy , the daughter and the chieftain safely crossed the sea and reached the shore again where Lord Ullin was waiting for them with open hands....Lord ullin's daughter and the chieftain got married and lived happily ever after
