6x2-3x-7

We want the values of x that make this quadratic equal to zero

Use the quadratic equation for ax2+bx+c=0 x= -b/2a ± (√(b2-4ac))/2a

For this equation a=6, b=-3, c = -7

x = -(-3)/2(6) ±[√((-3)2-4(6)(-7))]/2(6)

x = 1/4 ±[√(9+168)]/12

x = 1/4 ±(√177)/12
